From January 19th to January 26th, 2019, Director Zhang Zhuo,Deputy Director Chen Feng of the International Cooperation Office, Director Kong Chuiqian of the Academic Affairs Office, Vice President Wang Ying of the College of Economics and Management, and Dr. He Shawei went to Ho Chi Minh Bank University, Vietnam to attend the annual meeting of 2019 Joint Enterprise University Learning (JEUL) International Symposium, which is the Erasmus plus Funded Project of the European Union.
The main topic of this annual meeting is to summarize the work of the 2018 project and the work in 2019. The meeting summarized the signing conditions and cooperation results of the university-enterprise cooperation agreement of partner universities. Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) has gradually formed a stable partnership with many local enterprises in University-Enterprise Cooperation. Every year, there are a large number of students go to practice in enterprises and participate in activities such as subject competitions. At the meeting, the representative of NUAA demonstrated students’ practices and experiences in VOKO GROUP, and the students are from Institute of Industrial Engineering, College of Economics and Management. Professor Wang Ying summarized the achievements of NUAA in the project in the past year. Dr. He Shawei showed the experience and results of University-Enterprise Cooperation and course case design of Institute of Industrial Engineering.
Later on, representatives of other institutions discussed the impact and improvement of the university-enterprise internship on course syllabus. From the induction of representative of Skoda Auto University, the practices of students participating in corporate internships and graduation thesis under the guidance of corporate teachers were demonstrated. During the discussion of syllabus, the representative of Vilnius University of Lithuania introduced the experience of building online networking courses. In addition to the basic functions of the educational system, students can participate in online teaching online to interact with teachers.
The meeting then reviewed the results of previous seminars and work results since 2018. Since the launch of the project in February 2018, symposia of University-Enterprise relations, online courses, case design, and guidance of student corporate internship have been successively held. The symposium on University-Enterprise relations was successfully held in NUAA in March 2018. At present, NUAA has signed the largest number of University-Enterprise memorandum contracts and been the largest-scale University in University-Enterprise cooperation among the member universities of the project. The meeting also discussed the statistics of the questionnaires issued to contracted enterprises. As an important part of the project, the contracted enterprises are required to provide experience in the cooperation with the corresponding universities and analyze what needs improving in the future. The participating universities analyzed the data provided by the enterprises’ questionnaire, summarized the rules, and made the follow-up work plan. The project also requires each university to assign a faculty member to serve as a placement officer of student enterprise internship. The responsibilities of the placement officers were discussed at the symposium in October 2018. This meeting summarized the related work of 2018.
In the final days of the meeting, the representatives looked forward to the work plan for the 2019 JEUL project. In May 2019, a training symposium on University-Enterprise collaborative teaching will be held at the Scoda Auto University, Czech; in August 2019, a training symposium on case writing will be held at the University of Kent, UK; in January 2020, an annual meeting about the summary of the results in project 2019 will be held. The requirements of expected goals and written results of each symposium are proposed by the meeting. The meeting decided to assist China (NUAA) and relevant universities in Vietnam to establish a comprehensive syllabus system that reflects the annual work of the University-Enterprise collaborative education, and to establish a initial case teaching library.
During the meeting, Director Zhang Zhuo,Deputy Director Chen Feng of the International Cooperation Office of NUAA, Director Kong Chuiqian of the Academic Affairs Office discussed the specific issues of bilateral cooperation with some participating universities. At present, College of Economics and Management of NUAA had signed a preliminary agreement on bilateral cooperation with the Scoda Auto University, Czech. The two sides agreed to cooperate in student exchanges, internships in overseas enterprises, teacher exchanges and short courses teaching. At the same time, NUAA had established preliminary cooperation with the many participating universities such as University of Siena, Italy, and University of Kent, UK.
At the meeting, the members of the delegation of NUAA reported the implementation of the project of NUAA in 2018 and discussed the future work plan together with other members of the delegation. At the same time, they had established or deepened bilateral cooperation and exchanges with other participating universities.
